We’re the parents, carers, teachers and friends who raise money for Rudgwick Primary School and put on some of the best days in the school calendar.
Whether your child has just started or you’ve been here for years, you’re welcome to join us. It’s free to get involved, and any time you can spare makes a real difference.
What we do:
We run events through the year that the children love and that bring families together:

Summer Fair and Christmas Fair

Halloween and Easter discos

Freeze Pop Fridays and cake sales

Quiz nights

Pre-loved school uniform sales

Fundraising activities the children take part in themselves, from the spring scramble to bouncing bunnies.
Where the money goes:
Each year the school tells us what it needs most, and we set our fundraising target to match. Our funds typically support:

Music: lessons and opportunities for children to play and perform

Swimming: lessons and the coach travel to get there

Reading: library services, author visits and book awards

Staying safe and well: internet safety and anti-bullying workshops

Classroom extras: funding for every pupil, spent where teachers need it most

Celebrations: gifts for our leavers as they move on
Every ticket bought, cake baked and hour volunteered helps pay for these.
Short on time?
We know family life is busy, and nobody is expected to give more than they can. Most of what we do can be done flexibly, in the evenings or whenever suits you, and you’ll never be left to work things out alone. We’re a friendly team, we support each other, and we’re all here for the same reason: to make school life richer for our children.
It’s also a great way to get to know other families.
Ways to get involved:
Come along. Turning up to an event and bringing friends and family is a big help in itself.
Lend a hand on the day. Help set up, run a stall or pack down. An hour is plenty.
Help behind the scenes. Planning, admin, poster design, social media, or talking to local businesses about raffle prizes.
Take on a role. We need everyone from Chair to event volunteers, and roles can be shared. Get in touch for how you could help.
